A fun, learning and possible reward system for the recorder.

The Recorder Karate series enables students to practice at home, progress at their own rate and be visually rewarded, with a badge, sticker, of even a cotton "belt", for their work.

If the students complete the series, they will literally be playing music that is out of this world.

Starting on just one note, this 1,2,3,4,5,5 suite of six pieces for easy recorder uses only the notes G, A, B, C & D. Each piece can be used by itself or as a cohesive six-movement suite.
Images provides something of a challenge for students that are ahead of the rest of the class and want to progress to part playing. The pieces start simply enough but become progressively more challenging but still remaining simple enough for intermediate players to enjoy. It uses the white notes from D to D plus an F#.

For flexibility, it is avalable in versions for Recorder Trio, Duet and Solo (with Piano)

The Cat's out of the Bag is an original suite of five movements for players who have the basic skills and want more of a challenge. It uses the BAG notes for the most part, introducing C and D in natural manner later on.

Each piece can be used as a stand-alone piece of music or as a full cohesive suite. It is quite possible for the class to create a story around this music.
The Knight is a original suite of five pieces for intermediate recorder using the notes from D to D

Each piece can be used as a stand-alone piece of music or as a piece that works as a cohesive unit. It is very possible to create a story around this music.

Candy Land is an original suite of six short pieces written with the intention of providing interesting and challenging music for the advanced beginner. It encompasses the notes G, A, B, C, C# and D and therefore can be played with one hand. Even in this limited range, however, there are some wonderful melodies, interesting and novel harmonies plus good counting and rhythmic learning opportunities.

Each piece can be used as a stand-alone work or played as a complete work. It is very possible to create an imaginative story around this music.
